THE DEGREE OF REQUEST FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSISTANCE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH ACADEMIC SELF CONCEPT WITH TALENTED STUDENTS
Abstract This study aims to identify to the degree of request for psychological assistance and its relationship with academic self-concept with talented student and ordinary student. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the correlation analytical descriptive approach by development of two tools: (request for psychological assistance scale, and academic self-concept scale) and verified of its reliability and validity, The study sample consisted of (143) talented students. The results showed that the degree of request for psychological assistance among talented students in Mafraq governorate came at an average assessment and a mean average of the whole field with (3.02), and the results also showed that the degree of academic self-concept among the talented students in Mafraq governorate came at an average assessment a mean average of the whole field with (3.52). The study recommended that the Ministry of Education should focus on providing psychological and social assistance to school students psychological and social centers attached to schools, where supervisors, psychologists, social workers and educators will assist students and guide them
