  1. supporting students with the skills of using modern geographic technologies and supporting them with good abilities to deal with geographic information systems and remote sensing software.
  2. Preparing  students for field training and research studies so as to acquire the ability to draw maps, collect, analyze, and process data.
  3. Affording students adequate knowledge of human geographical phenomena to enable them to understand and analyse their relationship to other natural phenomena.
  4. validating students to study and understand natural phenomena, their characteristics, the laws that govern them, and the extent of their influence while being affected by other human phenomena.
  5. qualifying students with the skills of using statistical and cartographic methods, enabling them to analyze aerial and space images, and helping students to employ these skills in research projects
