students about British and American literary and cultural tradition
through their exposure to classical and modern English literary texts.
- Teaching students about historical traditions in British and American literature.
- Teaching students how to apply critical theory to literary texts.
- Teaching students how to recognize and comprehend different varieties of the English language.
- Teaching students and guiding them to understand the functions and the historical development of the English language.
