The Bachelor's Program in English Language and Literature:
This
program enhances the student's knowledge of English language
and literature, and it develops the student's ability to apply this
knowledge effectively in the fieldwork. The program has three major
aspects:
1. Advanced language skills including translation and writing.
2. Linguistics, a science which revolves around the nature of language, its history, and linguistic theories.
3.
English and American literature including poetry, novels, and plays, in
addition to their historical dimensions as well as literary theories
and schools of Western and universal thoughts.
The program qualifies graduates to be employed in the following fields:
- Teaching English for non-native speakers
- Media
- Basic written and translation sequential interpretation
- Communication and information technology
- Companies and banks using both languages: English and Arabic
- Tourism and hospitality
