The Effect of Teaching Using the Roundhouse Strategy on the Acquisition of Fiqh Concepts among Eighth Grade Students in Jordan
Abstract This study aimed to investigate the effect of teaching using the Roundhouse Strategy on eighth-grade students? acquisition of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) concepts in Jordan. To achieve the objectives of the study, a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was taught using the Roundhouse Strategy, while the control group was taught using the traditional teaching method. The study sample consisted of a group of eighth-grade students from a public school in Jordan, selected according to the nature of the study. The research instrument was an achievement test designed to measure students? acquisition of Fiqh concepts. The validity and reliability of the instrument were established using appropriate educational procedures. The results revealed statistically significant differences at the level (? ? 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the post-test of Fiqh concepts acquisition, in favor of the experimental group. This finding indicates the effectiveness of the Roundhouse Strategy in organizing Fiqh concepts visually, enhancing meaningful learning, and increasing students? engagement in the learning process. The study recommended integrating the Roundhouse Strategy into Islamic Education instruction, particularly in teaching Fiqh concepts, providing training programs for teachers on its implementation, and conducting further studies on different educational variables and grade levels.
