Perception of E-Learning's Role in Shaping Post-Pandemic University Education: Evaluating Its Positive and Negative Effects on Returning to Traditional class
In light of the interruption period (COVID-19 pandemic), distance education was provided to students using the Internet and modern technologies. However, because of this type of education, the students lost the opportunity to benefit from practical experiences in laboratories and field exercises. This affects the practical side of students' education, as they must now bridge a knowledge gap in the practical side. In addition, the inability to participate in practical exercises and field experiences affects students' ability to learn and better understand practical concepts. The research identifies the reality of e-learning during the spread of the epidemic and its role in raising the educational efficiency of students, as well as the negative effects of returning to formal education. The study followed the descriptive correlative approach of the current study population of all faculty members at Al Albayt University, whose number is (108) who selected randomly. The community, at the same time, represents the study sample. The tool of the study was a questionnaire consisting of three axes. The data collected were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Arithmetic means and standard deviations were used to determine the degree of both Positive and Negative effects upon returning to regular Instruction. The research concluded that it is necessary to pay attention to the technological preparation of teachers and train them on e-learning tools to employ them in the educational process, especially in times of crises and emergencies.
