The role of psychological empowerment in supporting the ethics of counseling for family counseling workers

This study aimed to identify the role of psychological empowerment in supporting the ethics of counseling among workers in family counseling among a sample of (26) counselors in the field of family counseling who underwent training programs provided by the National Council for Family Affairs in Jordan. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the psychological empowerment scale, and the psychological and educational counseling profession ethics scale. To answer the questions of the study, the arithmetic means, standard deviations, and statistical use (T) were used and simple regression test, the results showed that the levels of psychological empowerment and counseling ethics among family counseling workers in Jordan were high. The results of the study also indicated that there were statistically significant differences between bachelor and master?s holders or more in their perceptions of the psychological empowerment variable, and that there were no statistically significant differences with regard to the ethics variable. Guidance, the results of the study also indicated that there are no statistically significant differences between married and unmarried couples in their perceptions of the variable of psychological empowerment and the variable of counseling ethics, and that there are no statistically significant differences between bachelor's holders and master's holders or more in their perceptions of the variable of counseling ethics. The results of the study also indicated that the relationship between the variable of counseling ethics and psychological empowerment has a positive relationship.
