Constructing an attitudinal scale toward electronic violence by Al al-Bayt University students who use social networking website's, according to item response theory (IRT)
This study aimed at constructing an attitudinal scale toward electronic violence by Al al-Bayt University students who use social networking website's, according to item response theory (IRT). To achieve the objectives of the study, the factors of the scale were identified, and a preliminary scale of 44 items was constructed. Items of the scale were applied on 550 network user students at Al al-Bayt University. Data analysis for testing items that measures the electronic violence kept 29 items, according to item response theory (IRT), distributed into three fields. The scale in it's final form exemplified suitable psychometric properties with a reliability coefficient of 0.94. The scale also has several validity indicators. In the light of the study findings, a number of conclusions and recommendations are suggested.
