"The effect of using computer on learning and retaining some ground movements of gymnastics for lower basic students"
This study aims to identify the effect of using computer as an educational method on the level of
learning and retaining some ground movements in gymnastics for the lower - age basic students
compared to the usual method, the sample consisted of sixth graders, 11 years old, amounting to (28)
students chosen by the deliberate method from beginners in gymnastics, they were randomly divided
into an experimental and a control garoup with 14 students per group. The study results showed the
effectiveness of the regular method and the use of computer as an educational method in learning and
retaining the skills of ground movements in gymnastics. However, the use of computers as an
instructional medium has shown to have a better positive effect than usual methods. The study
recommended the need to use computer as a basic educational means to teach sport skills in various
games in general and gymnastics skills in particular, because of its positive impact and numerous
benefits in learning and retention of skills, as well as the need to focus on lower - age groups when
starting to teach ground skills in gymnastics.
