The establishment of the School of Graduate Studies at Al al-Bayt University
The Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies at Al al-Bayt University was established in 1994. In 2004, they were separated into two deanships, the Deanship of Scientific Research and the Deanship of Graduate Studies. In 2020, the Deanship of Graduate Studies was restructured, and two divisions were created, one for supervision and committees' affairs and the other is for student affairs. At the end of 2021, within the university's strategic plan to develop academic work, the name of the Deanship of Graduate Studies was changed to the School of Graduate Studies. The reason for this change was to develop an effective organizational structure for managing and following up on graduate programs and facilitating various procedures in line with international best practices to advance the public image of graduate studies and the prestigious scientific reputation that befits Al al-Bayt University.
Currently, the School of Graduate Studies offers two Ph.D. degrees, 38 master's programs, and four diploma programs. In addition to its academic and administrative staff, the college has a group of academic professionals who represent its valued council (the Council of Graduate Studies), which is tasked with many of the functions outlined in the university's current directives. The School of Graduate Studies aims to help Al al-Bayt University achieve its goals of strengthening graduate students' ability to conduct scientific research in the university's numerous fields to address the demands of Jordanian, Arab, and Islamic society.
