​The Higher Education Council unifies the upper limit for the credit hours that postgraduate students can register in all universities and university colleges, starting from the next academic year 2023-2024.
The Council of Higher Education, in its recent session chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmy Al-Muhafda, decided to agree to standardize the upper limit of credit hours that postgraduate students can register in all universities and university colleges as of the next academic year 2023-2024, to be as follows :
• (9) credit hours as a maximum in the first and second semesters of each academic year, including remedial courses.
• (6) credit hours as a maximum in the summer semester of each academic year, including remedial courses.​
