Teaching Excellence Awards
Award Objective
The Teaching Excellence Award aims to honor faculty members for their continuous excellence in teaching. A model classroom and a teacher's sustained excellence inspire students' intellectual curiosity, motivate colleagues in the department, and make students aware of the important connections between academia and the wider world.
Nature of the Award
Winners receive a cash prize from the university and a certificate of appreciation from the Council of Deans. They are honored at a public ceremony, and their names are listed as distinguished professors in the catalog of Amman Al-Ahliyya University. Frequently, distinguished teachers are invited by the university to provide their opinions on issues related to teaching. They also serve in forums and committees concerned with educational issues and advocate for teaching excellence at Al al-Bayt University.

Demonstrating a commitment to student-centered learning aimed at academic development and providing support that has a positive impact on students.
Encouraging students to exceed expectations in their learning.
Inspiring and motivating students to excel and take the initiative in their own learning.
Engaging in guidance and mentoring that helps students develop educationally and personally.
Extending teaching beyond the classroom.
Evidence of Effective Teaching and Student Learning
Receives positive evaluations from students.
Displays creativity in curriculum design or innovation in delivering information to students during teaching.
Is regarded by colleagues as an excellent teacher, with feedback provided where available.
Relies on a solid background and knowledge of current literature or their own research and scholarship related to teaching and learning, or any activity that involves student engagement.
Involves students in collaborative and active learning.
Demonstrates skill in using appropriate learning metrics relevant to their field.
Has the ability to design and teach courses that include clear learning outcomes and employ transparent methods for assessing student learning.
