Al-Dmour opens the transportable exhibition "Songs of the Earth" by Dr. Ramzi Al-Ghazwi
Under the patronage of the President of Al al-Bayt University,
Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, the Deanship of Student Affairs held the transportable exhibition
in Jordanian universities, “Flowers of the Earth” by the media specialist, Dr.
Ramzi Al-Ghazwi, in attendance of the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr.
Ghaith Al-Aitan.
Dr. Al-Dmour emphasized that the university encourages holding such
exhibitions which aim at spreading awareness and culture of plant wealth among
university students.
Dr. Al-Ghazwi explained that many plants in the Jordanian nature
are threatened with extinction, so everyone must preserve these rare plants by
all available methods.
The exhibition included photographs of a rare group of plants and
flowers in the Jordanian nature, which were used in the past in folk and
aesthetic medicine, such as the Dahnun flower, black iris, loofah plant, carob,
birch, elderberry, milk thistle, fighen, gypsophila, and many other plants. It involved
a detailed explanation of the reason for naming each plant and its benefits and
uses.
