Department of Applied Geography at Al al-Bayt University organizes a scientific visit to the solar power plant at the university.
The Department of Applied Geography at Al al-Bayt University organized a scientific visit for students of the Natural Resources Survey and Management course to the solar power plant at the university, under the supervision of Dr. Hamza Bani Khaled.
The visit aimed to enhance students' understanding of the mechanisms of exploiting renewable natural resources, and to learn about the technical structure of the solar power plant and its role in producing clean energy within the university. Eng. Noor Al-Bataineh and Eng. Alaa Alimat from the Engineering Department at the university provided a detailed explanation about
• The mechanism of solar panels and the conversion of solar radiation into electrical energy
• The basic components of the solar system, such as converters, control units, and electrical connection systems
• The role of renewable energy in managing natural resources and achieving sustainability goals
The engineering department team also took the students on a field tour to see the infrastructure of the station and learn about the practical aspects of energy production and how to connect the electrical system to the university's facilities.
This visit is part of the efforts of the Department of Applied Geography, represented by the Head of the Department, Dr. Maisoun Al-Zghoul, to enhance the practical aspect of the Natural Resources Survey and Management course, link theoretical knowledge with practical application, and enable students to understand modern technologies in managing renewable resources.
