A dialogue seminar entitled "The right to express opinions in light of the Cybercrime Law"
In light of the rapid developments in the digital space, and the accompanying wide discussion about cybercrimes, the limits of freedom of expression, and the responsibility of publishing, the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Department of Political Education, Educational and Social Guidance, in cooperation with the Al-Mizan and Human Rights Club, held a dialogue seminar entitled "The Right to Express Opinion in Light of the Cybercrime Law."
A representative of the Cybercrime Unit in the Public Security Directorate participated in the seminar, where an extensive discussion took place on the most prominent texts of the new law, including provisions aimed at protecting privacy, combating blackmail, and how to file a complaint with the Public Prosecutor and protecting the right of females to complete confidentiality.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Abdullah Al-Soufani, Head of the Student Organizations Division, Professor Muhammad Al-Shawafqa, Head of the Al-Mizan and Human Rights Club, Uday Al-Alimat, and a group of university students, affirming their emphasis on the importance of enhancing legal awareness among students and consolidating the culture of rights and responsibility in the digital space.
