Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Al al-Bayt University Organizes a Scientific Day on Respiratory Therapy
In conjunction with World Respiratory Care Week, the Department of Allied Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Al al-Bayt University organized a scientific day to introduce the specialty of respiratory therapy. Students of the respiratory therapy specialty at the college presented a detailed presentation to introduce the function of the respiratory therapist and their role in saving patients' lives, the groups benefiting from the services of the respiratory therapist, and the most important provisions of the law of the respiratory therapy profession practice system. The students also discussed the harms of smoking on respiratory health and ways to quit it.
The students reviewed the most important graduate studies in the field of respiratory therapy locally and globally, and the students also pointed to the wide fields in the labor market inside and outside Jordan for the profession of respiratory therapist.
For her part, Dr. Shaimaa Muhammad Ali from the Department of Allied Medical Sciences presented an awareness lecture on sleep apnea and the most important medical procedures followed in treatment.
A mobile exhibition was held on the sidelines of the scientific day to introduce respiratory therapy and the most important modern respiratory therapy devices.
At the end of the scientific day, the head of the Department of Allied Medical Sciences, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amoush, presented honorary certificates to the college's professors for their great efforts in establishing the college and developing its programs, in the presence of the vice dean, Dr. Marwan Shibli, Dr. Khaldoun Al-Radaideh, and Dr. Shaimaa Muhammad Ali.
