Outstanding participation of Al al-Bayt University students in the Middle East Oil and Gas and Geosciences Conference
Two students from Al al-Bayt University / Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences shone at the "Middle East Oil and Gas and Earth Sciences" conference, which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from September 16 to 18, 2025, where they participated in the conference activities within the "Youth, Professionals, and Students" program.
The two students, Omar Yassin and Abdulrahman Al-Momani, presented innovative proposals for recycling waste and converting it into energy sources. They also participated in the scientific poster exhibition and workshops that addressed energy challenges and sustainable solutions.
The student Omar Yassin and his team achieved a remarkable achievement by winning the MEOS GEO 2025 challenge, where he won the presentation award at the conference.
The two students praised the academic support they received from the faculty members at the college, especially Professor Dr. Hani Al-Amoush and Dr. Ahmed Shdefat, Head of the Department of Earth and Applied Environmental Sciences, expressing their deep gratitude for the confidence that the college and university placed in them to represent them in this international forum.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Habes Al-Mashaqa, stressed the importance of enhancing student participation in international scientific events as part of the college's strategy to support academic and research excellence.
