Faculty of Engineering at Al al-Bayt University organizes an introductory meeting for its new students
In line with Al al-Bayt University's policy aimed at facilitating the integration of new students into university life through guidance and orientation, providing them with essential information about academic and extracurricular activities, and promoting a learning environment, support, and interaction among students, the Faculty of Engineering organized an orientation meeting for its new students. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Muayyad Al-Shawafqa, and attended by members of the Faculty Council and members of the academic and administrative staff.
In his opening speech, Dr. Al-Shawafqa explained that the Faculty of Engineering at Al al-Bayt University has become one of the most modern engineering faculties at the level of Jordanian universities, thanks to the efforts of the university presidency and its academic staff. He emphasized the faculty's commitment to providing a distinguished university and study environment, and opening up broad prospects for its graduates in the Arab and global labor markets to be creative and distinguished.
He called on students to make creativity and innovation a constant goal during their years of study to develop their scientific and practical skills and gain experiences that qualify them to enter the labor market strongly. He pointed out the extracurricular activities, courses, and specialized workshops organized by the college to learn about the latest developments in the fields of architectural engineering, civil engineering, surveying engineering, renewable energy engineering, and industrial engineering, explaining that next year will witness the opening of new engineering specializations.
The Head of the Department of Energy Engineering, Dr. Milad Alimat, referred to the instructions for exams and the importance of adhering to university regulations, and the need to consult the academic advisor when there is any inquiry related to the study plan or academic instructions.
The Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Bilal Yassin, stated that the university is the second home for students, stressing the need to take advantage of all its facilities to be more knowledgeable and empowered.
The Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Dr. Muhammad Smiran, also pointed out the importance of attendance and excellence in attendance and participation in activities, to ensure that students have a successful and disciplined academic career within a stimulating engineering environment.
At the end of the meeting, which was presented and moderated by the Head of the Department of Architecture, Dr. Safa Al-Hasban, a short introductory video about the Faculty of Engineering was shown, in the presence of the Vice Dean and heads of academic departments. The Dean of the Faculty and members of the academic staff also answered students' inquiries and questions, stressing the Faculty's keenness to support and assist them from their first steps in university life.
