As part of the university's celebrations of Independence Day and national holidays, and under the patronage of the university president, Professor Osama Nusair, and in the presence of the Azerbaijani Ambassador, Ambassador Eldar Salimov, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Saif Al-Shubeil, the university colleges' five-a-side football championship was concluded. The championship was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs through the Department of Sports Activity and was held in the sports hall. It lasted for three weeks in an atmosphere dominated by the spirit of brotherhood and strong competition.

The University President, Professor Osama Nusa​ir, and the Azerbaijani Ambassador crowned the winners with the championship cup and gold medals, in addition to presenting silver medals to the team in second place. The final match was between the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Faculty of Arts, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Professor Youssef Miqdadi, and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Professor Anwar Al-Khaldi, and a number of deans and faculty members at the university. Educational Sciences won the final match with a score of 4/1.

It is worth mentioning that the championship, supervised by Captain Ashraf Shdeifat and assisted in refereeing the matches by Captain Jihad Hawamdeh, was attended by 25 teams representing various university colleges, during which the students showed a high degree of responsibility and discipline with fair play and high sportsmanship.
