Faculty of Foreign Languages Visits the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation

The Faculty of Foreign Languages at Al al-Bayt University, with the follow-up and coordination of the Chairman of the External Activities Committee, Professor Ahmed Al-Sharif, organized a scientific visit to the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, within the framework of the college's keenness to link the academic aspect with the practical and introduce students to the prospects of working in the fields of media and translation.

The visit included an extensive tour of the news and morning programs studios and the Mohammed Kamal Studio, one of the oldest studios in the institution, in addition to the institution's historical museum, which was founded in 2023 and includes rare collections documenting the institution's journey since its establishment.

The participants were briefed on the mechanisms of work inside the broadcasting and coordination rooms, directing, and then visiting the decoration department and learning about the stages of manufacturing and installing decorations for various programs.

The participants in the visit learned about the various departments of the institution, from translating global news to preparing political, documentary and entertainment programs, instant translation and follow-up.

For their part, the employees of the institution provided detailed explanations of the stages of producing media programs, and the various services provided in multiple languages, which reflects the development of the institution and its leadership in the field of Arab and international media.

The students were accompanied during the visit by a selection of faculty members: Professor Wael Al-Rabadhi and Dr. Hiyam Al-Badarin from the Department of French Language, Dr. Shireen Salama from the Department of Italian Language, Dr. Lamia Al-Amoush and Dr. Khaled Nadim from the Department of English Language and Literature, Dr. Lamis Al-Lozi from the Department of Spanish Language, and from the Department of Public Relations and Media - Head of the Media Division, broadcaster Hazem Al-Sardi.

At the end of the visit, the students and faculty members expressed their deep appreciation for the warm reception and the richness of the experience, praising the high professional level of the institution and confirming that such visits enrich students' knowledge and enhance their readiness to engage in the labor market efficiently and competently.
