A training workshop on visual arts at the Faculty of Arts at Al-Bayt University.
The College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Bayt University organized a training workshop titled "From the Threads of the Past to the Paintings of the Future" in collaboration with the Jordanian Association "Color it with Hope," with the presence of the Vice President for Community Affairs and International Relations, Professor Dr. Hani Akho Rashida.
The President of the "Color it with Hope" Association, Ghadeer Haddadin, indicated that this workshop aims to train 15 male and female students from Al-Bayt University on preparing works of visual art while preserving Jordanian heritage using traditional tools and a modern style that reflects the Jordanian heritage identity.
The Vice Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Anwar Al-Khaldi, affirmed the importance of this workshop in integrating students with their surrounding environment and enriching their experiences.
For her part, the Assistant Dean of the college and workshop coordinator, Dr. Maysoun Al-Zaghoul, explained that the goal of the workshop is to strengthen the students' connection to their university environment by channeling their energies into visual arts and other extracurricular activities organized by the College of Arts and Humanities.
During the workshop, several students from the college created visual artworks using Jordanian heritage pieces and colored them to express our Jordanian heritage in a contemporary manner, with the participation of the President of the Jordanian Historians Association, Professor Dr. Galeb Arabiyat, Walid Al-Tamimi, Inas Abu Shehab, and Nadia Dababneh from the "Color it with Hope" Association.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Akho Rashida awarded a commemorative shield to the President of the association and its members.
