Al al-Bayt University shines at the 2024 ELO International English Olympiad, winning two prestigious awards. Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafza, and in the presence of Dr. Mamoun Dabba'i, Secretary-General of the Ministry, and Dr. Majid Hamad, General Director of the International English Olympiad, the activities of the International English Olympiad for universities concluded on Saturday, December 7, 2024, under the theme "National Heritage." The event was organized by the ministry in collaboration with Maseh International Testing Company. The activities lasted for three days and witnessed enthusiastic competition among 57 teams representing universities from inside and outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Al al-Bayt University participated with two distinguished teams under the supervision of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, represented by its Dean, Professor Mohamed Khateeb. The Uni 25 Sinai Rose Finch team presented an ambitious project titled "Tourism and Media Promotion for the Archaeological City of Um Al-Jammal in the Northern Badia," highlighting its historical and cultural landmarks to enhance its tourism appeal. The team's efforts also focused on the cultural and civilizational promotion of the Northern Badia heritage, showcasing stories, folk proverbs, and handicrafts, with special attention to the Northern Badia and the archaeological site of Um Al-Jammal.
Meanwhile, the Uni 24 Jordan Historians team stood out in the field of scientific research by providing an in-depth analysis of research issues related to the archaeological village of Rahab, earning praise from the judging committee. The Uni 25 team received the Community Service Award in the Creative Idea category. The Uni 24 team won the Scientific Research Award in the Problem Analysis category.

1. Uni 24 Jordan Historians Team:
From the Faculty of Foreign Languages: Farah Khalaileh, Jinan Tarek, Ghaith Al-Omari, Jihad Jamjoum, and student Rayan abu Qdum (Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah College of Information Technology).
2. Uni 25 Sinai Rose Finch Team:
From the Faculty of Foreign Languages: Malak Azayzeh, Lujain Bseiso, Wisal Nassar, Sara Najjar, Shahm Al-Hasban.
The supervision and training process was led by Eng. Khaled Ndeem from the English Language and Literature Department, and Dr. Milad Abu Aleem from the College of Engineering, while Dr. Baraa Al-Ababneh, Head of the English Language and Literature Department, played the role of the liaison officer, actively contributing to organizing and following up with the teams.
Prof. Osama Nusair, President of Al al-Bayt University, expressed great pride in the achievements of the teams, offering his sincere thanks to the students, trainers, and supervisors. He affirmed the university's ongoing commitment to providing the necessary support to its students in all scientific and creative forums, contributing to enhancing its pioneering role in the academic community.
