The university organizes the poetry forum "Jordan in the Hearts of Poets."
As part of the initial activities and cultural works organized by the university, and the scientific days and cultural seasons of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, in collaboration with the Culture Directorate of Mafraq and with the participation of several poets from Jordan, the Vice President of the University, Professor Osama Naseer, opened the poetry forum titled "Jordan in the Hearts of Poets," which was organized by the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. This event was attended by the Director of Culture in Mafraq, Samer Khaza'alah, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Said Abu Khidr, in the Bakheet Auditorium at the university.
This forum derives its significance from the diversity and participation that the university strives for, aiming to bridge communication between cultures as part of its goals and vision to connect with intellectuals and poets in the homeland, providing them with platforms to express their positive words and poetic verses to enrich Jordanian culture through their creativity.
The voices of academic poets and intellectuals from Jordan resonated through national poems and poetic readings celebrating the homeland, leadership, the army, and martyrs, filled with loyalty that connected the word and poetry in form. The attendees immersed themselves in the world of poetry, which manifested depth, value, and authenticity. Professor Naim Musaitah and Professor Harbi Al-Masri from the university, along with Mohammad Al-Amoush, Jaser Al-Bazour, Ibrahim Al-Hesban, and Khaled Al-Shurman from Mafraq Culture, presented poetry that befits the homeland and leadership, which was well received by the audience.
Professor Mahmoud Al-Dikki delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the participating poets for the words woven into their poems that narrate the story of Jordan through melodies and romance.
At the conclusion of the forum, which was hosted by colleague Hazem Al-Sardi from the Public Relations and Media Department and attended by the Director of the Teachers' Club in Mafraq, Public Relations Engineer Nasser Al-Shabeel, faculty members, students from the college, and several interested parties, Al-Atein and Al-Khaz'alah exchanged commemorative shields, with Al-Atein presenting the participating poets with acknowledgment trophies.
