A training workshop on sustainable green jobs held by the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the university
To motivate young people, develop their capabilities, and direct their youth energies towards innovation and excellence towards a sustainable green environment and entrepreneurship, the University’s Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the Global Green Growth Institute, held a training workshop on sustainable green jobs in the center’s hall, targeting university students in various majors. The workshop began with a welcome from the director of the center, Dr. Hatem Al-Masaieed, who in turn explained during the opening of the workshop that the center is the first support for entrepreneurs and their ideas from students and members of the local community, indicating that these workshops are supportive and useful as an essential source of the national economy, and are in line with the goals of sustainable development, and have a significant impact in creating... Job opportunities, as the center provides students and all target groups with green skills. Trainer Alaa Naimat from the Global Green Growth Institute spoke during the interactive workshop about environmental awareness and solving environmental problems in a sustainable way. She also presented the environmental challenges in Jordan, in addition to the benefits of switching to a green approach, how to implement green solutions, and opportunities for green business practices. Trainer Muhammad Al-Masry participated with her. The second topic talks about thinking sustainably. The interactive sessions aimed to enable students to contribute to a more sustainable future in their communities and workplaces by participating in various discussions during the workshop with practical examples and various studies, and promoting the employment of job seekers in green sectors.
