A graduation project designed by the
two students: Hussein Sa’eed and Rania Al-Zyoud and mentored by Dr. Rami
Al-Shawabkeh, was selected among the top 100 projects in the world in Tamayouz International
Award with the participation of 41 countries and a jury of 100 international
arbitrators in the field of architecture.
The project was about "Al-Joura
Market" which is a famous urban market in Ma’soum neighborhood in the city
of Zarqa connecting the new Zarqa with the old one and representing a main
source of income for the residents of the neighborhood. It covers an area of 36,000
square meters aiming to achieve social, environmental and economic
sustainability, preserve the old market and give the city a sustainable
cultural feature.
