The Assessment of the degree of Activating Parent Teachers' Councils in the Schools of North Eastern Badia District in Jordan from the Councils' Members Perspective
The aim of this study is to assess the degree of Activating Parent Teachers' Councils in the Schools of North Eastern Badia District in Jordan from the Councils' Members Perspective. The study sample consists of all members of Parent Teachers' Councils in the North Eastern Badia district (1099 member) distributed across (157) school. The sample was chosen according to stratified random bsampling method and it consisted of (135) members. The study adopted the descriptive survey method because of its appropriateness to the nature of the study. There were many outcomes of the study but the most significant ones are: the study shows that the perspective of the councils members on the degree of activating the Parent Teachers' Councils got a moderate degree. The study came up with many recommendations like: first, there has to be enough time between each meetings and the other encourage members to attend meetings and conferences, second, the council should be given the chance to participate in preparing the school developmental plans, and finally there has to be enough subcommittees to carry on the council activities.
