Faculty of Educational Sciences Holds Its Second International Conference on Educational Technology and Future Technologies

The President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Dr. Osama Naseer, inaugurated the opening ceremony of the Second International Conference of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Yousef Al-Maqdad, and the deans of various faculties at the university. The conference witnessed broad participation from academics, researchers, and specialists from Jordan and several sister Arab countries. Held over two days in the Al-Hasan bin Talal Auditorium at the university, the conference aligns with the university’s mission and the faculty’s vision to keep pace with rapid developments in digitization, educational technology, and the future of learning.

Professor Dr. Osama Naseer emphasized that this established scientific platform, which embraces enlightened ideas, encourages deep intellectual engagement, and fosters constructive and beneficial knowledge-based dialogue amid the accelerating digital revolution, reflects the university’s strong commitment to modernization and innovation. He highlighted the importance of embedding a culture of productive scientific research, inspired by the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, who gives education and technology a central role in achieving progress and responding to the fast-paced transformations in digitization, educational technology, and future foresight. Dr. Naseer added that the university administration believes education is a dynamic interaction between humans and their tools—a broad domain for innovation, partnership, and creation.

In his welcoming speech, the Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Conference, Professor Dr. Yousef Al-Maqdad, underscored the pivotal role played by the Hashemite leadership in supporting education and providing strategic visions that prioritize human capital in development and educational advancement. He noted that the conference serves as a rich academic experience and a forward-looking perspective on future educational technologies, aimed at building a suitable learning environment. He emphasized that Al al-Bayt University was the first to adopt diverse and dynamic approaches to educational reform, rooted in the belief that education is the cornerstone for building societies through the promotion of knowledge transfer, skills development, and preparing learners for the labor market.

Dr. Al-Maqdad also highlighted the university's efforts, which reflect the vision of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, in keeping up with rapid developments in digitization, educational technology, and future trends. He stressed that the conference represents a scientific platform that brings together researchers and academics from Jordan and the broader Arab world to discuss the latest developments and challenges in these vital fields.

On behalf of the conference participants, Dr. Salman Al-Talahmeh from Hebron University in Palestine expressed his gratitude to the university for the excellent organization and hospitality. He praised the efforts of both the university and the faculty.

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, which was moderated by Dr. Alaa Al-Harashah from the Faculty of Educational Sciences, videos about the university and the faculty were presented. The conference patron, Professor Dr. Osama Naseer, handed out certificates of appreciation to the participants and organizers. Attendees from both inside and outside Jordan expressed their appreciation for the university’s efforts in organizing this conference and for providing a distinguished scientific environment that supports research and innovation in the fields of digitization and educational technology.
