Dr. Reem Al-Zoubi participates in the program "Yom Jadeed" on Jordanian Television to discuss digital illiteracy.

Dr. Reem Al-Zoubi addressed several important points about digital illiteracy during her appearance on the program "Yom Jadeed" on Jordanian Television. She discussed the criteria that define digital illiteracy, such as the ability to use digital devices, understand basic applications and software, communicate online, and grasp the fundamentals of digital security. These criteria help determine the level of individuals' digital skills.

She clarified that digital illiteracy is not limited to the inability to use technology but also includes a lack of understanding of how to handle digital information, such as searching the internet, evaluating the credibility of sources, or even using e-government services.

Additionally, she touched on the importance of raising awareness about digital security and how individuals can protect themselves from cybercrimes such as hacking, phishing, and identity theft. She emphasized the need to learn basic protection measures, such as using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and avoiding sharing personal information online.

Furthermore, she stressed that digital skills are not only important for young people or professionals but are also essential for people with disabilities and the elderly. Technology can provide them with opportunities to improve their quality of life, such as accessing remote healthcare services, communicating with others, or even learning online. However, appropriate tools and training must be provided to empower these groups.
