**Seminar Title: Empowering the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future**

In celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Al al-Bayt University organized a scientific seminar titled "Empowering the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future." The seminar featured the participation of Senate member Asya Yaghi and was held in the Centennial Hall of the Faculty.

Prof. Yousef Maqdadi, Dean of the Faculty, highlighted during his opening remarks that the seminar aligns with the university's strategic plan and its firm belief in the necessity of supporting and caring for persons with disabilities. He emphasized the importance of ensuring they have access to a dignified life in a safe environment. He also noted that prominent and successful figures representing sustainability and achievement in public life reflect the Hashemite leadership's vision for empowering this vital segment of society.

Senate member Asya Yaghi expressed her gratitude to the university, stating that the seminar reflects an increasing understanding that disability is part of the human condition. She stressed the importance of providing persons with disabilities with active roles in society and discussed the obstacles they face. Yaghi highlighted the necessity of integrating this group into public life and expressed her appreciation for His Majesty the King’s recognition and trust, which granted her the honor of representing this segment of society in the Senate. She affirmed her commitment to carrying the humanitarian message with integrity and pride, driven by her deep love and loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership.

Prof. Ihsan Al-Khalidi addressed the importance of legislation concerning persons with disabilities, emphasizing the need to monitor and implement these laws effectively. He called for specialized awareness programs, partnerships with international organizations, and a focus on personal, economic, political, and educational empowerment. He also stressed the importance of integration, capacity building, and involvement in societal development.

The seminar, organized by Dr. Iyad Hamadneh, Head of the Department of Respiratory Sciences and Special Education, and moderated by Dr. Maysa Tililan, concluded with a lively discussion. Faculty members and students engaged with the speakers, who answered questions and responded to comments, fostering an enriching dialogue on the subject.
