The Rhetoric of Stylistic Variation in the Qur'an Stories With Particular Reference to Moses Story

Abstract The intention held to conduct this study, after comprehensive and profound observation of the stylistic variations in the holy Qur'an in general and in the prophets' stories in particular. Since there is no enough room in this paper to display and analyze all of these stories, the researcheres determined to handle and search one of them, which is the story of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). It is noticed that each scene of Moses story is exhibited in several chapters of Qur'an, and every time is shown in different expressive method. Scholars traced this phenomenon and expressed various and different views and opinions about it. A pondering standpoint in front of these opinions, the researcheres has found them not adequate to interpret that variation, and attempted to uncover the rhetoric concepts behind that variation to probe, infer and reveal the notions and wisdoms stand beyond these stylistic variations.
