The Department of Energy Engineering seeks to meet the needs of the Jordanian community and the region by providing high quality programs in renewable energy engineering specially, in education, research and community services. This can be accomplished through preparing a good engineering staff able to compete in solving society and industry problems, carry out the developmental research that might lead to solutions to the energy problem in Jordan and to reduce the imported energy bill (such as gas and oil). Accordingly, this will result in improving the quality of life and advancing the economic and sustainable development.
