Publications of the Unit: The Unit has issued a number of publications as outcome of presented research studies in addition to the proceedings of conferences and seminars which have tackled the different aspects of Omani history and civilization. And this involves

1 - The Abadites Imamate in Oman: Professor Farouk Omar Fawzi, Al al-Bayt University Press, Mafraq, 1997. The book is a specialized historical study about the development of the Abadites Imamate in Oman between the second century AH/eighth century AD and until the middle of the sixth century AH / twelfth century AD. The book includes a comprehensive study of the history of Oman in the period, which coincided with the establishment of the first and second Imamates.

2 - Studies in the History of Oman: Professor Farouk Omar Fawzi, publications of the Omani Studies Unit, Al-Bayt University, 2000. The book includes a range of specialized studies in the Omani history and political and intellectual experience in Arabic and English. This includes a study on the sources of Omani history, and a study on the role of the Omani people in spreading Islam and Arab culture in the Muslim East. In addition, it includes a study on the theory of the Abadites Imamate, and another one on the Ibadhi political thought, and a third study on the factors behind the decline of the second Abadites Imamate and its fall in Oman in 280 AH / 893 AD, and a fourth study on the spread of the Arabs in the eastern territories of the Arab Gulf.

3 -The Proceedings of the First Scientific Forum About the Heritage of the Sultanate of Oman, Past and Present”:Dr. Ibrahim Bhaz and Dr. Hassan AlMalkh (eds). Publications of the Omani Studies Unit / Al-Bayt University, 2002. The book includes a collection of studies that dealt with Oman's history and culture and its doctrinal, historical, and cultural aspects, in addition to other economic, social, linguistic, and literary aspects.

4 - The Proceedings of the Second Scientific Forum on the Sources of Omani History. Dr. Ibrahim Bhaz and Dr. Hassan AlMalkh (eds), Publications of the Omani Studies Unit / Al al-Bayt University, 2002. The book combines specialized papers on the historical school of Oman and the sources of the published and manuscript Omani history.

5 –The Proceedings of the Third Scientific Forum “The Transformations in modern and contemporary Omani society”. Dr. Olayan Al Jalodi and Dr. Mohammad al Droubi (eds): Publications of the Omani Studies Unit / Al al-Bayt University, 2005. The book includes research papers which deal with the political and jurisprudence, economic, social and educational transformations in Oman.
