Awareness workshop on the readiness of cybersecurity students at Al al-Bayt University
The Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah Faculty of Information Technology at Al al-Bayt University organized an awareness workshop entitled "Cybersecurity Students' Readiness," in the presence of the Deputy Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Anas Jabreen, a number of faculty members, experts in the field of cybersecurity, and a group of interested students, in the Abu Ubaida amphitheater.
Dr. Jabreen explained that the workshop aims to highlight the basic skills and knowledge that students of this vital specialty need, to keep pace with the accelerating requirements of the labor market. He stressed that cybersecurity has become one of the most important specializations of the digital age, due to its pivotal role in protecting national and economic security, in light of the escalating cyber threats. He also pointed out that the college seeks to prepare graduates who are scientifically and practically qualified, based on its national responsibility.
The workshop included specialized presentations by experts in various fields, including: cyber defense, penetration testing, and network security analysis.
Dr. Areej Al-Sharman spoke about contemporary digital challenges and the importance of raising security awareness among individuals and institutions.
Engineer Baraa Ibrahim also presented his experience in network security analysis and the importance of security monitoring, and Engineer Ihab Abu Alia addressed the practical aspects of penetration testing.
Meanwhile, Engineer Qader Al-Khawaldeh, Head of the Information Security Division at the University, reviewed effective strategies for protecting information.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Anas Jabreen, on behalf of the Dean of the College, Professor Muhammad Al-Jaradat, honored the winning students in the CTF Boot to Flag competition, in recognition of their excellence in facing cyber challenges and solving technical puzzles.
