Opening of the Open Scientific and Medical Day in the Department of Life Sciences

As part of the Faculty of Science's series of events to raise health awareness among members of the community, Professor Dr. Raed Banat, Dean of the Faculty of Science, inaugurated the Open Scientific and Medical Day in the Department of Life Sciences, in the presence of his deputies, Professor Dr. Yacoub Yacoub and Dr. Safwan Al-Shara', the Head of the Department of Life Sciences, Dr. Taghleb Al-Dheeb, and a group of faculty and administrative staff in the college.


Dr. Taghleb Al-Dheeb, Head of the Department of Life Sciences, affirmed that this day aims to develop the spirit of teamwork among students, educate them about the latest developments in the fields of life sciences and technology, contribute to their engagement with the surrounding environment and the local community, as well as enhance public awareness of the role of science in serving the community. The Open Scientific and Medical Day included student activities in botany, microbiology, zoology, human physiology, as well as free laboratory tests provided by Sarah Specialized Hospital, Medlabs Medical Laboratories in Al-Mafraq, Cedar Pharmacy, and free eye examinations provided by the Jordan Eye Center for Optics, free consultations and examinations provided by Dr. Tala Al-Shawabkeh Nutrition Center, and free skin examinations and consultations provided by Organic Beauty Company, Amasi Pharmacy, Al-Mawzea Medical Drug Store, Obaida and Ward Pharmacy, and distribution of free samples. Professor Dr. Dean of the College conveyed a message of thanks to the participating parties, and conveyed the message of Al al-Bayt University, which urges the necessity of engaging in serving the local community and spreading health awareness to students, wishing them continued progress and success and that they be a permanent help to the beloved university. A group of students from the Department of Life Sciences, faculty and administrative staff in the department and college participated in this event, coordinated by the Head of the Department of Life Sciences, Dr. Taghleb Al-Dheeb, and Mrs. Amna Basbous.​​
