The Faculty of Science at Al al-Bayt University, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Raed Banat, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Understanding and Comprehending the Detailed Course Plan,” as part of the faculty’s activities for the academic semester 2024/2025. The seminar was presented by Professor Ahmed Al-Jamal from the Physics Department, within the framework of the faculty’s endeavor to enhance academic awareness among students and empower them with the tools of understanding and analysis of their courses.

Professor Raed Banat affirmed that the course plan is not just an academic document, but rather represents a roadmap that clarifies the educational path for students and helps them realize their responsibilities inside and outside the classroom. He added that understanding the detailed plan contributes to raising the level of interaction between the student and the professor, and enhances the quality of educational outcomes and academic programs, stressing the importance of repeating such meetings within the faculty's developmental orientations.

During the seminar, Dr. Al-Jamal reviewed the components of the course plan, starting from office hours and study content, to the mechanism of grade distribution, explaining the importance of "learning outcomes" as a fundamental component in study plans, and its direct connection to the outputs of the academic program.

He presented an illustrative example to the students showing how to use this plan as a tool to analyze the level of academic performance and measure the extent of progress during the semester.
