"How to be an Outstanding and Influential Physicist?"
As part of the scientific events organized by the College of Science at the university, the college held a lecture for its students in the presence of the university's Vice President, Professor Dr. Hani Akhu Arshida, and the Dean of the college, Professor Dr. Raed Banat, titled "How to be an Outstanding and Influential Physicist," delivered by Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Jamal in the Bukhit Auditorium at the university.
During the lecture and the open dialogue with the college students, Dr. Al-Jamal emphasized the necessity for students to engage in scientific research in physics to be distinguished and excelling, clarifying the classification of physicists and the nature of their work. He also discussed the advantages of studying physics in scientific research, the paths for pursuing graduate studies after obtaining the bachelor's degree, and the essential requirements that students must fulfill to enroll in graduate studies along with the types of examinations they need to undertake, stressing the need for language skills to understand terminology and possess a scientific background in the specialization. He pointed out the components of the study plan and guidelines and how to start correctly to enable students to be outstanding physicists in the future, along with the necessity for participating in university activities, and the need for extracurricular activities at the university that contribute to refining their personal aspects.
The university's Vice President, Professor Dr. Hani Akhu Arshida, made an intervention praising the efforts of the students and faculty in the College of Science, pointing out that the university has high hopes and expectations for its students and their abilities because it is among the distinguished universities, and that knowledge and capabilities are the way to become researchers in the future.
The Dean of the college, Professor Dr. Raed Banat, highlighted the importance of focusing on the competency exam and its benefits for the student, indicating that it is crucial for their future academic journey, for graduates' employment prospects, and for the university's academic reputation, asserting that the university deserves a lot to uplift it.
