The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages meets with new students at Al al-Bayt University.
The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Professor Dr. Muhammad Youssef Al-Khateeb, met with the new students of the faculty, accompanied by the Vice Dean Dr. Muhammad Salem Al-Mustafa and the heads of the departments: Dr. Baraa Al-Ababneh, head of the English Department; Dr. Zaki Abu Layla, head of the French Department; Dr. Rasha Al-Arid, head of the Spanish Department; and Dr. Ahmad Al-Aleemat, head of the Italian Department, along with many faculty members and Mr. Muhammad Al-Shwaqfeh, representative of the Deanship of Student Affairs.
Dean Al-Khateeb started the meeting by welcoming the students and conveying the greetings of the university president to the new students, congratulating them on their acceptance at Al al-Bayt University, and wishing them success and excellence to prepare them for entering the job market both locally and internationally, thereby raising the name of Al al-Bayt University in every honorable event.
He provided a brief overview of the college's establishment and development, indicating that the college comprises four departments: French, Italian, Spanish, and English.
Al-Khateeb then presented a brief explanation regarding some guidelines related to university life, academics, and social interactions, emphasizing the university's commitment to every student successfully completing their studies. He pointed out that academic advisors and faculty members are there to support the students, and that the college's deanship is the primary reference for the students. He also highlighted the regulations issued by the university and the college and the need to be familiar with them, as well as the community service points that students must collect in order to graduate.
The department heads spoke about the advisory plans for each department and stressed that students should seek information solely from the college’s deanship and its departments, whether in course registration or student activities, as well as understanding and adhering to the regulations throughout their study period.
Mr. Muhammad Al-Shwaqfeh, representative of the Deanship of Student Affairs, provided a detailed explanation of the student disciplinary system at Al al-Bayt University and the associated penalties for issues such as cheating or impersonating a student during exams, outlining the consequences for both parties.
At the end of the meeting, which was moderated by Dr. Ahmad Al-Aleemat, the dean and department heads listened to the students' questions and inquiries, wishing them success in their endeavors.
