Dr. Nusair meets with the CEO of the Business Development Centre.
The President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Osama Nusair, met with former Minister Naif Estaitieh, the Executive Director of the Business Development Center, along with his accompanying delegation, including the Center’s Programs Director, Ola Al-Sawani, and Development Officer Zakaria Esteitie. They were joined by the Vice President for Community Affairs, Professor Hani Akho Arshida, and the Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hatem Al-Masaeed.
Dr. Nusair presented a vision for the university’s modernization and development, highlighting the new ambitious specializations and plans focusing on technical, vocational, and applied education as a top priority for university management. He emphasized developmental projects that contribute to advancing the university's mission and role in the community, appreciating the collaborative efforts of the Business Development Center with the university and the importance of building partnerships. He pointed out that the university has established the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to help achieve royal visions that encourage youth, develop their capabilities, and direct their energy towards innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurship.
The Executive Director of the Center, Mr. Naif Estaitieh, explained that the vision and mission of the center aim to serve the community by implementing a range of quality developmental programs that build capacities and create job opportunities for young people, enhancing their skills. The center focuses on aligning its outputs with labor market requirements and needs, promoting the concept of entrepreneurship and creativity to create projects that contribute to sustainable development. He stressed the necessity of supporting youth to engage in vocational and technical training to build career paths that support their futures.
At the end of the visit, Estaitieh, accompanied by Dr. Nusair, toured the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where he reviewed the updates and developments the center has undergone. He also met with young participants in the second phase of the “Step” program, which is being implemented in collaboration with the university, aiming to provide job opportunities for a number of graduates from Jordanian universities.
