About the Department:
The Student Services Department has provided its services to students since the beginning of the University establishment in 1994/1995. It aims to provide its services through the following divisions:
1- Student Services and Welfare Division:
This division provides various services to students of different nationalities, starting with reception of new students and issuing their university identities. It is very concerned with addressing students' financial status and helping them meet their financial needs through the two programs of financial aid and students' employment. Financial aid is provided to needy students through the (Student Fund), so that the value of the aid is kept in balance as part of the university fees owed by the student. As for the employment program (bachelor), which contributes to developing the spirit of work and integration into the university environment and enhancing a sense of responsibility, job opportunities are provided for students in the various faculties, institutes, centers and departments of the University in return for a financial wage estimated by one dinar per work hour. The division also follows up the proper implementation of the students' health insurance agreement with the Ministry of Health, and the students' life insurance agreement. Further, it provides students' investigation committees with the required data, issues the penalties directed against students, records them, addresses the authorities of spending, and gives letters of good conduct and behavior.
2- Female Student Dormitory Division:
This division oversees the dormitory of students on campus and provides them with all means of wellbeing such as heating, hot water in summer and winter, classrooms, internet, TV halls, and a kitchen for each dormitory building. In addition, there are cultural and recreational activities supervised by a number of qualified supervisors around the clock. There is also a dormitory available on campus for faculty and administrative staff members and graduate students.
3- Student Issues Division:
This division strives to provide a university environment consistent with the University's philosophy. It is one of the divisions of the Student Services and Welfare Department in the Deanship of Student Affairs, which is concerned with addressing the various student issues.
