Scientific research is one of the most important goals of Al al-Bayt University, as it is an important component of development in the scientific, industrial and social sectors. Scientific research is the basic tool for addressing society's problems and serving national development plans. In addition, it is credited with all the changes that have occurred throughout history, which have resulted in human welfare, the availability of modern technology, and the diversity of products and services available to them.

Therefore, the Deanship of Academic Research at Al al-Bayt University spares no effort in its endeavors to develop and revitalize the scientific research movement at the university in various scientific fields by providing financial funding and creating an appropriate research climate. The Deanship of Academic Research realizes its duty towards making the most of the university scientific community potentials. Since its inception, the Deanship has directed all capabilities to serve the research projects of faculty members and researchers at the university.

The Deanship also documents the scientific research for the ongoing research funded by the university or by external parties. Therefore, the Deanship of Scientific Research works in coordination with the university’s colleges, institutes and centers to set strategies, action plans and priorities for what should be future scientific research, which requires the allocation of an annual budget. and finding external sources of support aimed at encouraging collective research work whose outputs fall within the national priorities in the fields of energy, environmental, educational, Islamic and social studies, information technology, biotechnology, nanotechnology and materials science.

The Deanship documents the scientific outcome for the ongoing research funded by the university or by external parties. Hence, the Deanship of Scientific Research works in coordination with the university’s faculties, institutes and centers to set strategies, action plans and priorities for what should be future scientific research. This requires the allocation of an annual budget. and finding external sources of support aimed at encouraging collective research work whose outputs fall within the national priorities in the fields of energy, environment, education, Islamic and social studies, information technology, biotechnology, nanotechnology and materials science.

Accordingly, the Deanship works, through the Scientific Research Council, to allocate an appropriate annual budget and find external sources of support aimed at encouraging collective research work whose outputs fall within the above national priorities. In addition, the Deanship of allocates items in its budget to support the participation of faculty members and researchers in specialized scientific conferences and to support the publication of their articles and books and the translation of scientific books.

Under the directives of the University President, the Deanship seeks to be equipped with the best human capabilities and with adequate financial resources so that it can carry out its responsibilities with high efficiency in sponsoring, organizing and encouraging scientific research and disseminating its results at the local and global levels in a manner that is commensurate with the Jordan’s people ambitions and capabilities through cooperation with universities and research centers inside and outside Jordan in addressing the community needs and serving Jordan development plans.

The Deanship is responsible for publishing the following scientific journals:

Jordan Journal of Islamic Studies:

It is an international refereed scientific journal, issued by the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university with the support of the Scientific Research Support Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It specializes in publishing research in Islamic studies and comparative scientific studies in the fields of Islamic sciences and Islamic thought. The journal has an editorial board consisting of a number of professors specialized in the field of Islamic studies in Jordanian universities, and it has an advisory board of elite scholars of the nation's eminent from the Arab and Islamic world.

Al-Manara Journal for Research and Studies:

It is a quarterly refereed scientific journal, that publish scientific research in the three series:

1. Economic studies and Law,

2. Educational and psychological sciences and

3. Arts and Social Sciences.

The Journal has an editorial board of elite professors from Al al-Bayt university of various scientific fields covered by the Journal. Also, it has an advisory board of elite scholars from various Jordanian universities
