Department Objectives:

  1. Monitoring the main devices, operational systems, and application programs in the Computer Center.
  2. Following up on projects related to the university’s main systems.
  3.  Providing technical support to users of the main systems and applications at the university.
  4.  Offering suggestions and solutions related to the main systems and keeping up with advancements in this field.
  5.  Developing and implementing backup strategies for the main systems in the Computer Center.
  6. Coordinating with companies to resolve server maintenance issues.
  7.  Providing email services to students and staff and activating their use for official communications.
  8.  Supervising the installation and activation of operating systems for main servers and their components.
  9.  Establishing technical specifications for division projects and participating in technical committees.
  10.  Creating databases for the university's main systems and performing any necessary modifications or additions.
  11.  Managing database user accounts, including adding, deleting, and modifying them.
  12.  Monitoring and optimizing database performance to support a large number of users simultaneously.
  13. Developing and implementing comprehensive backup strategies for university databases for retrieval in emergencies.
  14.  Retrieving database transactions when needed.
  15.  Protecting the data of main systems and users.​
