Objectives of the Center

Among the main objectives of the Center:

Applying the principles of sustainable development: ensuring the integration of sustainability into all aspects of university and administrative activities.

Enhancing the social role of the university: implementing programs and initiatives aimed at improving awareness and sustainable practices in the local and international community.

Empowering women: enhancing the role of women in various fields through training and rehabilitation programs, and providing the necessary opportunities to enable them to lead and contribute effectively to sustainable development.

Conducting research and studies: implementing research and studies related to refugees and forced migration, community development, and women's issues, with the aim of providing recommendations and proposals based on scientific foundations.

Monitoring performance: developing measurement tools and indicators to monitor the university's performance in the areas of sustainable development, and working to improve them continuously.

Thus, the Center for Sustainable Development and Women's Empowerment seeks to be a pioneering model in achieving a balance between sustainable development and innovation, empowering women, and promoting social responsibility, which contributes to building a more sustainable and just future for all.

The center seeks to achieve the following objectives:

A- Spreading awareness of the concepts of sustainable development and women's empowerment among university staff, students and members of the local community.

B- Contributing to the development and capacity building of university staff, students and members of the local community in the areas of sustainable development and women's empowerment.

C- Participating in the preparation of theoretical and practical studies and research related to community development, women's empowerment and refugee affairs.

D- Building permanent partnerships with local community institutions aimed at contributing to addressing societal problems.

E- Establishing communication networks with parties concerned with women's issues with the aim of developing their capacities.

F- Contributing to launching projects concerned with refugee affairs and host communities in cooperation with relevant parties.
