This paper highlights women?s political rights in international and national legislation. It examines protecting women?s political rights through national, regional, and international mechanisms for the protection of women?s political rights. Through the examination of the Jordanian legal obligations in protecting women?s political rights, the paper discusses parliamentary and judicial oversight of the government in fulfilling its women?s political rights obligations, the political participation of women, and obstacles facing women in exercising their political rights.
