Al al-Bayt University, the Deanship of Student Affairs/Department of Cultural Activity, in cooperation with the Community Police and the Family and Juvenile Protection Department in the Public Security Directorate, organized an awareness lecture entitled “Domestic Violence,” presented by Lieutenant Maysa Al-Sarhan. This lecture comes within the framework of continuous efforts to enhance social awareness among university students about community issues that affect daily life. Al-Sarhan explained the role of the Family Protection Department in receiving cases related to the abuse of women and children and protecting them, and taking all appropriate legal measures to ensure the stability and continuation of life with dignity for the husband, wife, and their children within the framework of the family.

Dr. Ahmed Alimat, Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the participating students and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Public Security Directorate for the fruitful cooperation in presenting this lecture in cooperation with the Family and Juvenile Protection Department. Al-Alimat also stressed the importance of this topic in enhancing social awareness among students and guiding them towards ways to prevent and treat this influential phenomenon in society.

This lecture was coordinated by Dr. Muslim Al-Sharaffat and Dr. Lotfi Al-Masaeed from the College of Educational Sciences at the University, and Mr. Muhammad Basbous, Director of the Department of Cultural and Social Activity.​
