The Approach of Imam Ibn Daqiq Al-Eid (d.702 AH) in presenting and invoking the Qur'anic
Abstract: This research aims to clarify the approach of Ibn Daqiq Al-Eid (d.702 AH) in presenting and directing the Qur'anic recitations in his books and compilations, which includes his method of presenting the recitations and attributing them to their reciters, and his methodology for invoking the Qur'anic recitations. To achieve this, the researchers followed both the Inductive and Analytical methods. The Inductive method is used to ascertain the recitations mentioned by Ibn Daqiq in his books. The Analytical method is used to uncover Ibn Daqiq's approach in presenting, directing and invoking the readings. The study reached several conclusions, including that Ibn Daqiq did not follow a fixed methodology when mentioning the Qur'anic recitations; he was not limited to the Recurrent, and thus accepted recitations, but he went beyond them to include the Odd or Strange recitations, without always referring to their anomalies. For example, Ibn Daqiq was sometimes limited to the seven recitation modes; sometimes, he referred to the ten modes of recitation. In another example, he was concerned with discussing recitations which provide guidance on issues of Qur'an Interpretation, Hadith Discipline, and Grammatology, regardless of whether they were Recurrent or Odd. This attests to his defense of the Recurrent recitations
