Al Hanafia School used the aistihsan until they became famous for it, there for Abu Hanifa was unmatched for it, all kind of aistihasan is transformation from, a general rule, or general text, or reason for qiyas, or taken from legal evidence that requires changing. This act of aistihsan was not a statement of opinion, or self-distance, rather the aistihasn was based on evidence that may be a hidden qiyas or text, or consensus, or necessity, or custom, or interest, or a general jurisprudential rule.
