The Future of the Impact of Gender Policies on the Political Role of the Jordanian Woman in Light of the Announced Programs

This study addresses the reality and future of the political empowerment of Jordanian women. The two researchers conducted a study of the reality of the Jordanian woman through a group of social, economic and political quantitative indicators. In addition, they applied the approach of content analysis on a group of programs stated by the official, semiand non-official institutions in Jordan according to four analytical categories including goals, implemented activities, activities expected to be implemented, as well the regulators of these activities. Then, the researchers tried to predict the future of the political of empowerment of women on Jordan through the interactions between four arrays of interacting factors, which are institutional imbalance, social, economic and political factors, post-modernism, external reform projects and feminism. By observing this interaction, the researchers concluded that preservation of the patriarchal structure of Jordanian society through gender-based developmental policies to ameliorate the effects of the influence of the post-modernist and feminist movements.
