Al al-Bayt University Organizes a Training Course on the Fundamentals of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation
The Deanship of Student Affairs / Cultural and Social Activities Department, in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation, organized a training course entitled: "Fundamentals of Robotics Based on Artificial Intelligence." The course was held over two days at the Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah College of Information Technology, with the aim of enhancing students' knowledge of modern robotics and equipping them with the practical skills necessary to design and program robots using advanced technologies.
The course, delivered by Engineer Rasheed Smirat from the Crown Prince Foundation, witnessed remarkable participation from students of various specializations within the college. It was conducted in an interactive learning environment that combined both theoretical and practical aspects. The importance of such training programs lies in being a true platform for refining practical skills and enhancing students' capabilities in modern technology and artificial intelligence, thereby increasing their scientific and professional competitiveness at both the local and international levels.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Jaradat, Dean of the College of Information Technology, affirmed the university's commitment to supporting activities that integrate students with modern technologies. He emphasized that organizing such events contributes to building a progressive educational environment that prepares students for the labor market and enables them to engage directly with the latest global innovations in robotics and programming. He added that the university continuously seeks to establish partnerships with advanced educational and technological institutions to broaden students’ opportunities in training, research, and participation in local and international competitions. He noted that these efforts fall within a strategic plan aimed at graduating highly competent individuals capable of excellence and innovation in a constantly evolving digital environment.
Dr. Hael Al-Sarhan, Vice Dean of Student Affairs, stressed the role of the deanship in nurturing and developing the student’s holistic and balanced personality by providing diverse extracurricular activities, programs, and services aimed at building an aware and creative generation capable of contributing to community service.
The coordination and preparation for this course were carried out by Mr. Mohammad Basbous, Director of the Cultural and Social Activities Department, and Mr. Ahmad Al-Turk, Assistant Dean of Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah College of Information Technology at the university.
