Training Needs for Teachers of Physical Education based on the Standards of the Knowledge Economy in Iraq
The study aimed to identify the training needs for teachers of physical education based on the knowledge economy standards in Iraq, and find out whether there is a statistically significant difference attributable to gender, educational qualification and experience. The study population consisted of all teachers of physical education in general education schools in Al-Anbar province, the educational state of Iraq's (383) as a teacher and a school in the specialty of physical education, including 340 teachers, and the rest (43) School; and due to the small size of the study population has been taking full. Have been distributed forms as a result of the security conditions in the district of Al-Anbar recalled researcher of them (254) form and as a percentage of (66.31%) of the study population, and for the purposes of the study was to build a questionnaire as a tool psychometric President, consisted resolution of (60) items distributed on nine areas, namely (academic, personal, creativity, innovation and excellence, leadership and management, communication and interaction, self-development, evaluation and testing, technology, information and communications, guidance and counseling). Study the following results showed: that the training needs for teachers of physical education based on standards of knowledge economy in Iraq (high), where the arithmetic average of the responses of the study sample (3.93: 5.00), and that the training needs of academic (medium) with a mean (3.63: 5.00), and Personal training needs (high) with a mean (3.84: 5.00), and that the training needs in creativity, innovation and excellence (high) with a mean (4.03: 5.00). The training needs in leadership and management (high) with a mean (4.06: 5.00), and that the training needs in communication and interaction (high) with a mean (4.14: 5.00). The results also showed that the training needs for teachers of physical education based on the standards of Knowledge Economy in Iraq in terms of self-development (high), where the arithmetic average of the responses of the study sample (3.68: 5.00), and that the training needs in terms of evaluation and testing (high) with a mean (3.88: 5.00). The training needs for teachers of physical education in terms of information and communication technology (high) with a mean (3.94: 5.00). The training needs in guidance and counseling (high) with a mean (4.14: 5.00).
