Double acceptance sampling plans for gamma Lindley distribution based on truncated lifetime tests
Assuming that the lifetime of an item follows the Gamma Lindley (G-L) distribution, in this paper
a double acceptance sampling plan (DASP) is suggested based on truncated life duration testing. The system
with zero and two failures is typically addressed in this paper. The minimum sample sizes of the first and second
samples? are determined in order to claim that the real mean life is no longer the given life at the selected consumer
confidence level. Study is also done on the operation characteristic values and the minimum ratios of mean life
to fixed life. Examples are provided to demonstrate the findings in this study. It is found that for a given ,
the minimum sample sizes decrease with decreasing confidence levels. Researchers in the industry are advised to
utilize the specified DASP for the G-L distribution.
